Terms & Conditions

At Sulola Music, we aim to create a supportive, focused and high-quality environment for every session. The following policies help ensure sessions run smoothly for everyone.

1.Booking & Availability
To ensure we can secure an engineer for your session, we require a minimum of 72 hours notice for all bookings. All bookings are subject to engineer confirmation. As sessions are coordinated around both studio and potential engineer availability, requested times are subject to confirmation. as such bookings are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from us (please note this is not the same as receiving the completion of payment email that comes to you immediately after booking.).
We do not hold or reserve session slots without payment. If you would like to secure a specific time, this can be arranged with advance payment.

2.Payments
Full payment is required in advance to secure your booking, unless otherwise agreed.
 

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • 48+ Hours Notice: You are entitled to a full refund or a free reschedule.

  • 24 - 48 Hours Notice: A 50% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 50% will be refunded or credited toward a future session.

  • Less than 24 Hours Notice: A 100% cancellation fee applies. No refunds or reschedules will be offered.

4. Late Policy

  • Arrival: Sessions start at the scheduled time.

  • Grace Period: We allow a maximum of 10 minutes for lateness. Any time lost due to lateness may be added at the end of the session at the discretion of the studio and or engineer.

  • Discretion: Adding extra time at the end of a session is solely at the discretion of the studio manager or engineer and may be subject to additional fees.

  • No-Show: If you are more than 30 minutes late, Sulola Music reserves the right to cancel the session. In this event, no refund will be issued, and the full session fee will be forfeited

  • Your booking includes only the time agreed. Overtime may be available if the studio and engineer are free, and will be charged accordingly.

5. Studio Etiquette 
We ask all clients to respect the space, equipment, and energy of the studio.

Sulola Music reserves the right to end a session early in cases of inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour.
To maintain a clean and creative environment for all artists, we kindly ask that you follow these house rules:

  • Footwear: We are a shoe-free studio. Please remove outdoor shoes upon entry. You are welcome to wear socks, bring your own clean indoor slippers, or use the complimentary shoe covers/slippers provided by the studio.

  • Smoking: No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere inside the building.

  • Food & Drink: No food is allowed in the live room or control room. Drinks must be kept in sealed containers and away from all electrical equipment.

  • Equipment Damage: The client is responsible for any damage caused to studio equipment or the premises due to misuse or negligence. Repair or replacement costs will be billed to the client.

  • As the studio is a compact space, please bring only essential items. While we take care to maintain a safe environment, we’re unable to take responsibility for personal belongings brought into the studio.

6. Master Rights & Copyright

Upon full payment of the invoice, Sulola Music assigns 100% of the Master Recording rights for the audio created during the session to the Client. Sulola Music retains no ownership of the musical works unless a separate Production Agreement has been signed.
 

7. Data & Backups

While we may keep project files for a short period, Sulola Music is not responsible for long-term data storage. We strongly recommend clients bring their own hard drive to take their files at the end of the session
